Distinction Ontology
Let us begin with a simple gesture. To notice something is to separate it from the rest. In this focus, before distinction, there is not yet a "thing," a "background," a "one," or an "other." There is the undifferentiated — not emptiness and not chaos, but a state in which distinctions have not yet emerged as distinctions. Distinction is the primary work from which everything else gradually emerges: quantity, relation, form, locality, holding, symbol. Distinction Ontology is an attempt to gather a coherent language around this work — not to describe it from the outside, but to pass through it. The language grows from the work itself, not from a tradition, and tries to stay an operational metaphysics.
